حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ أَبِي النَّجُودِ عَنْ أَبِي رَزِينٍ قَالَ خَاصَمَ نَافِعُ بْنُ الْأَزْرَقِ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ فَقَالَ
تَجِدُ الصَّلَوَاتِ الْخَمْسَ فِي كِتَابِ اللهِ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ فَقَرَأَ عَلَيْهِ {فَسُبْحَانَ اللهِ حِينَ تُمْسُونَ} الْمَغْرِبَ {وَحِينَ تُصْبِحُونَ} الصُّبْحَ {وَعَشِيًّا} الْعَصْرَ {وَحِينَ تُظْهِرُونَ} قَالَ الظُّهْرَ {وَمِنْ بَعْدِ صَلَاةِ الْعِشَاءِ} قَالَ صَلَاةَ الْعِشَاءِ

✧ Do you find the five prayers in the Book of God? He said: 'Yes.' He recited to him: {So glory be to God when you reach the evening} — that is Maghrib; {and when you reach the morning} — that is Subh; {and in the afternoon} — that is Asr; {and when you reach midday} — he said: that is Zuhr; {and after the Isha prayer} — he said: that is the Isha prayer.
