حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ ثنا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ مَرْوَانَ الْكُوفِيُّ ثنا أُمَيٌّ الصَّيْرَفِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يَامِينَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ §شَهِدْتُ جَنَازَةَ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَمَاتَ بِالطَّائِفِ فَلَمَّا انْتُهِيَ بِهِ إِلَى الْحَفِيرَةِ جَاءَ طَائِرٌ أَبْيَضُ
يُقَالُ لَهُ الْغُرْنُوقُ حَتَّى دَخَلَ فِي جَوْفِ النَّعْشِ وَلَمْ يُرَ
Translation

✧ It is said to be a crane [ghurnūq] until it entered into the interior of the bier and was not seen.
