حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بَرَّةَ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ أنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أنا الثَّوْرِيُّ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي مَعْمَرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ؓ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ دَخَلَ مَكَّةَ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ وَحَوْلَ الْكَعْبَةِ ثَلَاثُمِائَةٍ وَسِتُّونَ صَنَمًا فَجَعَلَ يَطْعَنُهَا وَهُوَ يَقُولُ «جَاءَ الْحَقُّ وَزَهَقَ الْبَاطِلُ إِنَّ الْبَاطِلَ كَانَ زَهُوقًا»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ entered Makkah on the Day of Conquest, and around the Kaʿbah there were three hundred and sixty idols. He began piercing them and saying: “The truth has come and falsehood has vanished. Indeed, falsehood is ever vanishing.”
