حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ثنا حَسَنُ بْنُ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ ظَبْيَانَ عَنْ أَبِي تَحْيَا قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ لَقَدْ سَمِعْتُ مِنَ الْمِقْدَادِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ مَنْقَبَةً
لَأَنْ تَكُونَ لِي أَحَبُّ إِلَى مِمَّا طَلَعَتْ عَلَيْهِ الشَّمْسُ قَامَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ فَقَالَ لَا نَقُولُ لَكَ كَمَا قَالَ قَوْمُ مُوسَى {فَاذْهَبْ أَنْتَ وَرَبُّكَ} الْآيَةَ لَكِنْ نُقَاتِلُ عَنْ يَمِينِكَ وَشِمَالِكَ فَرَأَيْتُ وَجْهَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ انْبَسَطَتْ أَسَارِيرُهُ

✧ "That it be for me is dearer than what the sun has risen upon." He stood before the Prophet ﷺ on the day of Badr and said: "We do not say to you as the people of Musa said, 'So go, you and your Lord'" - the verse - "but we will fight on your right and on your left." And I saw the face of the Messenger of God ﷺ, its features beaming.
