حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ وَيُوسُفُ الْقَاضِي وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الضَّبِّيُّ وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْعَبْدِيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ قَالُوا ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ أنا عِمْرَانُ الْقَطَّانُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ عَنْ أَبِي عِيَاضٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِيَّاكُمْ وَمُحَقَّرَاتِ الذُّنُوبِ؛ فَإِنَّهُنَّ يَجْتَمِعْنَ عَلَى الرَّجُلِ حَتَّى يُهْلِكْنَهُ فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ ضَرَبَ لَهُنَّ مَثَلًا كَرَجُلٍ كَانَ بِأَرْضِ فَلَاةٍ فَحَضَرَهُ صَنِيعُ الْقَوْمِ فَجَعَلَ الرَّجُلُ يَجِيءُ بِالْعُودِ وَالرَّجُلُ يَجِيءُ بِالْعُودِ حَتَّى جَمَعُوا مِنْ ذَلِكَ سَوَادًا وَأَجَّجُوا نَارًا فَأَنْضَجُوا مَا فِيهَا

✧ From the Prophet ﷺ, he said: "Beware of the sins that are considered insignificant, for they gather against a man until they destroy him. Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave an example for them: like a man in a desolate land who was preparing food for a group. One man began bringing a stick and another man began bringing a stick until they gathered a great heap and lit a fire, and cooked what was in it."
