حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ وَالْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ
جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنِّي أَصَبْتُ مِنْهَا كُلَّ شَيْءٍ إِلَّا الْجِمَاعَ يَعْنِي مِنِ امْرَأَةٍ فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ ﷻ {أَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ طَرَفَيِ النَّهَارِ وَزُلَفًا مِنَ اللَّيْلِ إِنَّ الْحَسَنَاتِ يُذْهِبْنَ السَّيِّئَاتِ}

✧ A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, “I did everything with her except intercourse,” meaning with a woman. Then God ﷻ revealed: {Establish prayer at the two ends of the day and in the early hours of the night. Indeed, good deeds remove evil deeds.}
