حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسَبِّحٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ سُمَيْعٍ عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ الْبَطِينِ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ قَالَ قَالَ
عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ {إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَشْتَرُونَ بِعَهْدِ اللهِ وَأَيْمَانِهِمْ ثَمَنًا قَلِيلًا} لَمْ يَنْسَخْهَا شَيْءٌ فَأَيُّمَا رَجُلٍ اقْتَطَعَ مَالَ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ بِيَمِينِهِ فَهُوَ مِنْ أَهْلِ هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ

✧ ʿAbdullāh b. Masʿūd: This verse was revealed—{Those who purchase a small price with God’s covenant and their oaths}—nothing abrogated it. So any man who seizes the property of a Muslim by his oath is among the people of this verse.
