حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَسْرُوقِيُّ الْكُوفِيُّ ثنا مِنْجَابُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ قَالَ قَالَ

عَبْدُ اللهِ إِنِّي لَأُخْبَرُ بِمَوْضِعِكُمْ فَمَا يَمْنَعُنِي أَنْ أَخْرُجَ إِلَيْكُمْ إِلَّا كَرَاهِيَةُ أَنْ أُمِلَّكُمْ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَتَخَوَّلُنَا بِالْمَوْعِظَةِ فِي الْأَيَّامِ كَرَاهِيَةَ السَّآمَةِ عَلَيْنَا

✧ 'Abdullah said: "Indeed, I am informed of where you are, and nothing prevents me from coming out to you except the dislike of boring you. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to space out his admonitions to us over the days, fearing we would become weary."
