حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ رِشْدِينَ الْمِصْرِيُّ ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ جَامِعِ بْنِ أَبِي رَاشِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ

دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَكَّةَ وَحَوْلَ الْبَيْتِ ثَلَاثُمِائَةٍ وَسِتُّونَ صَنَمًا فَجَعَلَ يَطْعَنُهَا بِعُودٍ مَعَهُ وَيَقُولُ «جَاءَ الْحَقُّ وَزَهَقَ الْبَاطِلُ إِنَّ الْبَاطِلَ كَانَ زَهُوقًا جَاءَ الْحَقُّ وَمَا يُبْدِئُ الْبَاطِلُ وَمَا يُعِيدُ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered Makkah while there were three hundred and sixty idols around the House. He began striking them with a stick he had, saying: "Truth has come, and falsehood has vanished. Indeed, falsehood is bound to vanish. Truth has come, and falsehood can neither originate nor repeat."
