حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ صَاحِبُ الْبَصْرِيِّ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ رَفَعَهُ قَالَ
«لَقِّنُوا مَوْتَاكُمْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ؛ فَإِنَّ نَفْسَ الْمُؤْمِنِ تَخْرُجُ رَشْحًا وَنَفَسَ الْكَافِرِ تَخْرُجُ مِنْ شِدْقِهِ كَمَا تَخْرُجُ نَفْسُ الْحِمَارِ»
