حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْحُلْوَانِيُّ ثنا الْفَيْضُ بْنُ وَثِيقٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ ثنا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْبُنَانِيُّ عَنْ عَاصِمِ ابْنِ بَهْدَلَةَ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ يَجِيءُ الْمَقْتُولُ آخِذًا قَاتِلَهُ وَأَوْدَاجُهُ تَشْخُبُ دَمًا عِنْدَ ذِي الْعِزَّةِ فَيَقُولُ يَا رَبِّ سَلْ هَذَا فِيمَ قَتَلَنِي؟ فَيَقُولُ فِيمَ قَتَلْتَهُ؟ فَإِنْ قَالَ قَتَلْتُهُ لِتَكُونَ الْعِزَّةُ لِفُلَانٍ قَالَ هِيَ لِلَّهِ
Translation
Chain of narrators

- al-Fayḍ b. and Thīq
✧ From the Messenger of God ﷺ, he said: “The slain person will come, grasping his killer, while his veins gush blood before the Possessor of Might, and he will say: O Lord, ask this one why he killed me. Then He will say: Why did you kill him? If he says: I killed him so that glory would be for so-and-so, He will say: It is God's.”
