حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ وَالْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْمَعْمَرِيُّ قَالَا ثنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ حَمَّادِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ ثنا حُصَيْنُ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ عَنْ مُرَّةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَا أَحَدٌ أَغْيَرَ مِنَ اللهِ ﷻ؛ وَذَلِكَ لِأَنَّهُ حَرَّمَ الْفَوَاحِشَ وَمَا أَحَدٌ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ الْمِدْحَةُ مِنَ اللهِ؛ وَذَلِكَ لِأَنَّهُ مَدَحَ نَفْسَهُ وَلَا أَحَدٌ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ الْعُذْرُ مِنَ اللهِ؛ وَذَلِكَ أَنَّهُ اعْتَذَرَ إِلَى خَلْقِهِ وَلَا أَحَدٌ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ الْحَمْدُ مِنَ اللهِ؛ وَذَلِكَ أَنَّهُ حَمِدَ نَفْسَهُ»

✧ On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "No one is more jealous than Allah, because He has forbidden indecencies. And no one loves praise more than Allah, because He has praised Himself. And no one loves excuses more than Allah, because He accepts excuses from His creation. And no one loves praise more than Allah, because He praises Himself."
