حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْمَعْمَرِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا دَاوُدُ بْنُ رَاشِدٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ عَنْ أَبِي هَاشِمٍ الرُّمَّانِيِّ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عُبَيْدَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ

أَتَى حَبْرٌ مِنَ الْأَحْبَارِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْقِيَامَةِ وَضَعَ السَّمَاوَاتِ عَلَى هَذِهِ وَالْخَلَائِقَ عَلَى هَذِهِ وَالْجِبَالَ عَلَى هَذِهِ وَالْأَرْضَ عَلَى هَذِهِ قَالَ فَتَبَسَّمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَقَرَأَ {وَمَا قَدَرُوا اللهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ {عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ}

✧ A scholar from among the Jewish rabbis came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "On the Day of Resurrection, God will place the heavens on this, the creatures on this, the mountains on this, and the earth on this." The Messenger of God ﷺ smiled and recited: {They did not estimate God with His true estimation} up to His saying: {from what they associate with Him}.
