حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ ثنا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عُبَيْدَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ

جَاءَ جَاءٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ إِنَّ اللهَ يَضَعُ السَّمَاوَاتِ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ وَالْجِبَالَ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ وَالشَّجَرَ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ وَالْمَاءَ وَالثَّرَى عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ أَنَا الْمَلِكُ فَضَحِكَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حَتَّى بَدَتْ نَوَاجِذُهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ {وَمَا قَدَرُوا اللهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ}

✧ A man from the People of the Book came to the Messenger of God ﷺ and said, "O Muhammad, God places the heavens on one finger, the mountains on one finger, the trees on one finger, and the water and the earth on one finger, then says: 'I am the King.'" The Messenger of God ﷺ laughed until his molars showed, then recited: {They did not estimate God with His true estimation}.
