حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثنا نَصْرُ بْنُ بَابٍ عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مِنْ سَأَلَ مَسْأَلَةً وَهُوَ عَنْهَا غَنِيٌّ جَاءَتْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كُدُوحًا فِي وَجْهِهِ»
Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever asks for something while he is self-sufficient regarding it, it will come on the Day of Resurrection as scratches on his face.”
