حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ حَمْدَانَ الْحَنَفِيُّ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْقَطَّانُ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ثنا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ وَعَلْقَمَةَ وَمَسْرُوقٍ وَعَبِيدَةَ السَّلْمَانِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ
لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُسَلِّمُ «السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ» حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ وَمَنِ الْجَانِبِ الْآخَرِ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ

✧ I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ greeting with salam, saying: 'al-salam ʿalaykum wa rahmat Allah' until the whiteness of his cheek could be seen, and from the other side the like of that.
