حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ الْعَلَّافُ الْمِصْرِيُّ ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ زَرْبِيٍّ حَدَّثَنِي حَمَّادُ بْنُ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ قَالَ كُنْتُ رَجُلًا قَدْ أَعْطَانِي اللهُ حُسْنَ الصَّوْتِ بِالْقُرْآنِ فَكَانَ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ يُرْسِلُ إِلَيَّ فَأَقْرَأُ عَلَيْهِ الْقُرْآنَ فَكُنْتُ إِذَا فَرَغْتُ مِنْ قِرَاءَتِي قَالَ
زِدْنَا مِنْ هَذَا فِدَاكَ أَبِي وَأُمِّي؛ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «حُسْنُ الصَّوْتِ زِينَةُ الْقُرْآنِ»
