حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ صَدَقَةَ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَنْبَسَةَ الْوَرَّاقُ ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ نُصَيْرٍ ثنا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ مُطَيَّبٍ الْعِجْلِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ نَفْسَ الْمُؤْمِنِ تَخْرُجُ رَشْحًا وَإِنَّ نَفْسَ الْكَافِرِ تَسِيلُ كَمَا تَخْرُجُ نَفْسُ الْحِمَارِ وَإِنَّ الْمُؤْمِنَ لَيَعْمَلُ الْخَطِيئَةَ فَيُشَدَّدُ بِهَا عَلَيْهِ عِنْدَ الْمَوْتِ لِيُكَفَّرَ بِهَا وَإِنَّ الْكَافِرَ لَيَعْمَلُ الْحَسَنَةَ فَيُسَهَّلُ عَلَيْهِ عِنْدَ الْمَوْتِ لِيُجْزَى بِهَا»

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said: “The soul of a believer comes out as sweat, while the soul of a disbeliever flows out as the soul of a donkey. A believer may commit a sin, and it is intensified for him at death so that he may be expiated by it. And a disbeliever may do a good deed, and it is made easy for him at death so that he may be rewarded for it.”
