حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ الشِّيرَازِيُّ [ الشَّيْزَرِيُّ ]، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ نَجْدَةَ الْحَوْطِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

مَا مِنْ أَيَّامٍ الْعَمَلُ فِيهِنَّ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ عَشْرِ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ، قَالُوا: وَلَا الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ ؟ قَالَ: وَلَا الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ إِلَّا مَنْ عُقِرَ جَوَادُهُ وَأُهْرِيقَ دَمُهُ

✧ There are no days in which deeds are more virtuous than the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah. They said: Not even jihad in the path of Allah? He said: Not even jihad in the path of Allah, except for a man whose horse is hamstrung and his blood is shed.
