✧ A scorpion stung the Prophet ﷺ while he was praying. When he finished, he said: 'May Allah curse the scorpion; it does not leave alone one who is praying or anyone else.' Then he called for water and salt and began to wipe over the sting and recited: 'Say: O disbelievers', 'Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of the daybreak', and 'Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind.'

- Dāraquṭnī
machine translationAl-Dāraquṭnī was asked about it and said: Muṭarrif b. Ṭarīf narrated it from al-Minhāl. Ismāʿīl, the daughter's son of al-Suddī, gave it a connected chain (asnadahu) from Muḥammad b. Fuḍayl, from Muṭarrif, from al-Minhāl b. ʿAmr, from Ibn al-Ḥanafiyyah, from ʿAlī. But Mūsā b. Aʿyan, Asbāṭ b. Muḥammad and others contradicted him, and narrated it from Muṭarrif, from al-Minhāl, from Ibn al-Ḥanafiyyah as a mursal report (mursal). Likewise Ḥamzah al-Zayyāt narrated it from al-Minhāl, from Ibn al-Ḥanafiyyah as a mursal report, and that is closer to being correct.
