حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ سُفْيَانَ التِّرْمِذِيُّ بِبَغْدَادَ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْقَوَارِيرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ سَالِمٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ:
كُنْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي سَفَرٍ، فَلَمَّا دَنَوْنَا مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ أَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَتَعَجَّلَ قَالَ: أَمْهِلْ حَتَّى تَسْتَحِدَّ الْمُغِيبَةُ، وَتَمْتَشِطَ الشَّعِثَةُ

✧ I was with the Prophet ﷺ on a journey, and when we approached Madinah I wanted to hurry. He said: 'Wait until the woman whose husband is absent has shaved and the disheveled woman has combed her hair.'
