✧ A man came to al-Hasan and al-Husayn ؓ and asked them, and they said: 'Begging is only appropriate for three: a devastating need, a heavy guarantee, or a crushing debt.' So they gave him. Then he came to Ibn 'Umar, and he gave him without asking him. The man said to him: 'I came to your two cousins, and they asked me, but you did not ask me.' Ibn 'Umar said: 'The two sons of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ were only being taught knowledge thoroughly.'
