حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْمَالِكِيُّ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ وَهْبِ بْنِ أَبِي كَرِيمَةَ الْحَرَّانِيُّ أَبُو الْمُعَافَى، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ خَالِدِ بْنِ أَبِي يَزِيدَ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي أُنَيْسَةَ، عَنْ فُلَيْحِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ؓ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ:

خَيْرُ مَا يَخْلُفُ الْمَرْءُ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهِ وَلَدٌ صَالِحٌ يَدْعُو لَهُ، وَصَدَقَةٌ تَجْرِي يَبْلُغُهُ أَجْرُهَا، وَعِلْمٌ يُعْمَلُ بِهِ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ

✧ The best thing a man leaves behind after his death is a righteous child who supplicates for him, an ongoing charity whose reward reaches him, and knowledge that is acted upon after him.
