✧ Wathila b. al-Hasan al-'Araqi

حَدَّثَنَا وَاثِلَةُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْعِرْقِيُّ، ثَنَا كَثِيرٌ، ثَنَا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ سُوَيْدٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ الْعَرْزَمِيِّ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ:

قُلْتُ لِأَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَرِنَا كَيْفَ صَلَاةُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ ؟ فَقَامَ فَصَلَّى، " فَكَانَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ مَعَ كُلِّ تَكْبِيرَةٍ "، فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ قَالَ: هَكَذَا كَانَ صَلَاةُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ

✧ I said to Anas b. Malik, 'Show us how the Messenger of God ﷺ prayed.' He stood and prayed, raising his hands with every takbir. When he finished, he said, 'This is how the Messenger of God ﷺ prayed.'
