✧ Shall I show you how I saw the Messenger of God ﷺ perform ablution? He took water with one of his hands, sniffed it, then brought the other hand to it and poured, and he poured it over his face, and washed his hands, then wiped his head and ears, then wiped over the tops of his feet over the sandal, then stood and prayed.

machine translationIbn Lahīʿah and Rishdīn b. Saʿd narrated it from al-Ḍaḥḥāk b. Sharḥabīl, from Zayd b. Aslam, from his father, from ʿUmar. ʿAbdullāh b. Sinān contradicted him and narrated it from Zayd b. Aslam, from Ibn ʿUmar, from the Prophet ﷺ. Both are mistaken (wahm). The correct version is from Zayd b. Aslam, from ʿAṭāʾ b. Yasār, from Ibn ʿAbbās; this is how the memorizers (ḥuffāẓ) narrated it from Zayd b. Aslam.
