✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ set out from Makkah for Hajj, Umrah, or a military expedition. When he was on part of the road he said: 'Who will fill for us the cisterns of al-Uthaya?' Jabir said: I said: 'I will, O Messenger of God.' So we went on until we came to al-Uthaya, and I filled the cistern. Then in part of the night a man came and dismounted, and behold it was the Messenger of God ﷺ. He went off and relieved himself, then came and performed ablution from the cistern, then came and prayed, wearing a waist-wrapper, wrapped in it. I performed ablution, then came and stood on his left, and he took my hand and placed me on his right, then he prayed two rak'ahs.
