حَدَّثَنَا مِقْدَامٌ: ثَنَا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى: نَا وَرْقَاءُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ زَاذَانَ، وَمَيْسَرَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ
أَنَّهُ شَرِبَ قَائِمًا، فَقِيلَ لَهُ: تَشْرَبُ قَائِمًا ؟ قَالَ: ذَلِكَ أَفْعَلُ؛ فَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَفْعَلُ، إِنْ أَشْرَبْ قَائِمًا، فَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَشْرَبُ قَائِمًا، وَإِنْ أَشْرَبْ جَالِسًا فَقَدْ " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَشْرَبُ جَالِسًا.

✧ He drank while standing, and it was said to him: "Will you drink while standing?" He said: "That I do; indeed I saw the Messenger of God ﷺ do it. If I drink standing, I saw the Messenger of God ﷺ drink standing; and if I drink sitting, I saw the Messenger of God ﷺ drink sitting."
