حَدَّثَنَا مِقْدَامٌ: ثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ نِزَارٍ: نَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ الطَّائِفِيُّ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ السُّوَائِيِّ
أَنَّهُمْ بَيْنَا هُمْ يَطُوفُونَ بِالطَّاغِيَةِ إِذْ سَمِعُوا مُتَكَلِّمًا يَقُولُ: وَلَوْ تَقَوَّلَ عَلَيْنَا بَعْضَ الأَقَاوِيلِ لأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُ بِالْيَمِينِ ثُمَّ لَقَطَعْنَا مِنْهُ الْوَتِينَ، فَفَزِعْنَا لِذَلِكَ، فَقُلْنَا: مَا هَذَا الْكَلَامُ الَّذِي لَا نَعْرِفُهُ ؟ فَنَظَرْنَا فَإِذَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مُنْطَلِقًا

✧ While they were circumambulating the idol, they heard a speaker saying: “And if he had fabricated against Us some sayings, We would have seized him by the right hand, then We would have cut from him the aorta.” We were alarmed by that and said: “What is this speech that we do not recognize?” Then we looked, and there was the Prophet ﷺ going on his way.
