✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited the words of Ibrahim: 'So whoever follows me is of me, and whoever disobeys me, indeed You are Forgiving and Merciful,' and the words of 'Isa: 'If You punish them, they are Your servants, and if You forgive them, indeed You are the Mighty, the Wise.' Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ raised his hand and said: 'O Allah, my ummah, my ummah,' and wept. Then Allah said to Jibril: 'Go to Muhammad, and your Lord knows best, and ask him what makes him weep.' Jibril came to him and asked him, and the Prophet ﷺ informed him. Then Allah, Mighty and Majestic, said to Jibril: 'Go to Muhammad and say to him: We will surely please you regarding your ummah and will not grieve you.'
