حَدَّثَنَا مِقْدَامٌ: ثَنَا أَسَدٌ: نَا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ السَّمَّانُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ:
صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْفَجْرَ بِأَقْصَرِ سُورَتَيْنِ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ، فَلَمَّا قَضَى صَلَاتَهُ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيْنَا بِوَجْهِهِ، فَقَالَ: إِنَّمَا أَسْرَعْتُ أَوْ عَجَّلْتُ لِتَفْرُغَ الْأُمُّ إِلَى صَبِيِّهَا وَسَمِعَ صَوْتَ الصَّبِيِّ
Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ led us in the dawn prayer with the two shortest surahs of the Quran. When he finished his prayer, he turned his face toward us and said: 'I hastened, or hurried, so that the mother might attend to her child, and he heard the sound of the child.'
