✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ went out when the sun had passed its zenith, stood at ‘Arafah, addressed the people, called God as a witness over them, and made them witness over themselves, saying: “You will be asked about me, so what will you say?” They said: “We bear witness that you have conveyed (the message).” He said: “O God, bear witness.” Then he spoke at length. The muezzin called the adhan for the noon prayer, then he stood and prayed the noon prayer after the sermon. Then he gave the iqamah for the afternoon prayer and prayed it. Then he mounted and stood, and when the sun set he pushed on to Muzdalifah, where he prayed the sunset and night prayers with one adhan and two iqamahs. Then he lay down until dawn broke, prayed the dawn prayer, and stood (at al-Mash’ar al-Haram).
