✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ established brotherhood between 'Abd al-Rahman b. 'Awf and Sa'd b. al-Rabi'. He took him to his family and said, 'Choose whichever of my wives you wish, and I will divorce her for you, and my wealth is yours, half and half.' 'Abd al-Rahman said, 'May Allah bless you in your family and wealth. Show me the market.' So they showed him, and he did not return until he had acquired something. He married a woman from the Ansar for the weight of a date-stone of gold. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ met him with traces of yellow perfume on him, and said, 'Mahyam?' He said, 'I married a woman from the Ansar for the weight of a date-stone of gold.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, 'Give a wedding feast, even with a sheep.'
