✧ A man from the Ansar came to the Messenger of God ﷺ and said: "O Messenger of God, all my wealth is charity." He said: "Then his parents became poor until they sat with the destitute. Then they came to the Messenger of God ﷺ and said: 'O Messenger of God, our son was among the wealthiest of the Ansar, but he gave his wealth as charity, and we became poor until we sat with the destitute.' He said: 'Your son's charity is to be returned to you.' Then they died, and the Messenger of God ﷺ sent to their son: 'Return the charity, for charity is not inherited and not subject to 'umra.'"
