حَدَّثَنَا مَسْعُودُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الرَّمْلِيُّ: نَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ هَارُونَ: ثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

أَنَّهَا أَخْبَرَتْهُ أَنَّ بَرِيرَةَ كَانَتْ تَحْتَ مَمْلُوكٍ، فَلَمَّا أُعْتِقَتْ، قَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: أَنْتِ أَمْلَكُ، إِنْ شِئْتِ أَقَمْتِ مَعَ زَوْجِكِ، وَإِنْ شِئْتِ فَارَقْتِيهِ، مَا لَمْ يَمَسَّكِ

✧ She informed him that Barira was married to a slave. When she was freed, the Messenger of God ﷺ said to her: "You have more right to yourself. If you wish, you may remain with your husband; and if you wish, you may separate from him, so long as he has not touched you."
