✧ Abu Bakr asked permission to enter upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was sitting with his thighs uncovered, and he granted him permission. 'Umar asked permission and he granted him permission while he was in the same state. Then 'Uthman b. 'Affan asked permission, and he reached for his garment and covered his thighs. I said: "O Messenger of Allah, it is as if you disliked 'Uthman seeing you?" He said: "Indeed, 'Uthman is modest and veiled; the angels are shy of him."
