حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذٌ قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ: نَا سُكَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ قَالَ: نَا حَفْصُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ:
لَمَّا قُتِلَ عَلِيٌّ قَامَ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، فَحَمِدَ اللهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: " أَمَّا بَعْدُ، وَاللهِ لَقَدْ قَتَلْتُمُ اللَّيْلَةَ رَجُلًا فِي لَيْلَةٍ نَزَلَ فِيهَا الْقُرْآنُ، وَفِيهَا قُتِلَ يُوشَعُ بْنُ نُونٍ فَتَى مُوسَى، وَفِيهَا رُفِعَ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ، مَا سَبَقَهُ أَحَدٌ مِنْ قَبْلِهِ، وَلَا لَحِقَهُ أَحَدٌ كَانَ بَعْدَهُ، وَإِنْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَيَبْعَثُهُ فِي السَّرِيَّةِ، جِبْرِيلُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ، وَمِيكَائِيلُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ، وَاللهِ مَا تَرَكَ صَفْرَاءَ وَلَا بَيْضَاءَ، إِلَّا سَبْعَمِائَةِ دِرْهَمٍ، أَوْ ثَمَانَمِائَةِ دِرْهَمٍ، أَرْصَدَهَا لِخَادِمٍ يَشْتَرِيهَا
Translation

✧ When 'Ali was killed, al-Hasan b. 'Ali stood up and praised and extolled Allah, then said: 'Now then, by Allah, you have killed tonight a man on a night in which the Qur'an was revealed, and in which Joshua b. Nun, the servant of Moses, was killed, and in which Jesus son of Mary was raised up. No one before him surpassed him, and no one after him reached him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would send him on a military expedition with Gabriel on his right and Michael on his left. By Allah, he left neither gold nor silver except seven hundred or eight hundred dirhams, which he had set aside to purchase a servant.'
