حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذٌ قَالَ: ثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ: نَا وُهَيْبٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ، فَإِذَا هُوَ بِأَبِي إِسْرَائِيلَ قَائِمٌ فِي الشَّمْسِ، فَسَأَلَ عَنْهُ، فَقَالُوا: نَذَرَ أَنْ يَقُومَ فَلَا يَقْعُدَ، وَلَا يَتَكَلَّمَ، وَلَا يَسْتَظِلَّ، وَلَا يُفْطِرَ قَالَ: فَلْيَقْعُدْ، وَلْيَتَكَلَّمْ، وَلْيَسْتَظِلَّ، وَلَا يُفْطِرْ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ entered the mosque on Friday and found Abu Isra'il standing in the sun. He asked about him, and they said, 'He vowed to stand and not sit, not speak, not seek shade, and not break his fast.' He said: 'Let him sit, speak, seek shade, and not break his fast.'
