حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ جُمْهُورٍ، نَا أَبُو تَقِيٍّ هِشَامُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ، نَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ:

كُلُّ مَالٍ، وَإِنْ كَانَ تَحْتَ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ يُؤَدَّى زَكَاتُهُ، فَلَيْسَ بِكَنْزٍ، وَكُلُّ مَالٍ لَا يُؤَدَّى زَكَاتُهُ، وَإِنْ كَانَ ظَاهِرًا فَهُوَ كَنْزٌ

Translation

✧ Any wealth—even if it be beneath seven earths—whose zakah is paid, is not a treasure (kanz). And any wealth whose zakah is not paid, even if it is in plain sight, is a treasure.
