حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ، ثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، ثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ الْعِجْلِيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ، نَا أَبَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ قَالَ:

دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ أَبِي، وَأَنَا أَغْتَسِلُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ، فَقَالَ: غُسْلُكَ هَذَا مِنْ جَنَابَةٍ أَوْ لِلْجُمُعَةِ ؟ قُلْتُ: مِنْ جَنَابَةٍ قَالَ: أَعِدْ غُسْلًا آخَرَ، إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: مَنِ اغْتَسَلَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ كَانَ فِي طَهَارَةٍ إِلَى الْجُمُعَةِ الْأُخْرَى

✧ My father entered upon me while I was bathing on Friday, and said: Is this bath of yours from janaba or for Friday? I said: From janaba. He said: Take another bath, for I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Whoever bathes on Friday remains in a state of purity until the next Friday.
