حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْحُلْوَانِيُّ قَالَ: نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ قَالَ: نَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْحُبَابِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ. عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ:

سَمِعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ صَوْتًا هَالَهُ، فَأَتَاهُ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: مَا هَذَا الصَّوْتُ يَا جِبْرِيلُ ؟ " فَقَالَ: هَذِهِ صَخْرَةٌ هَوَتْ مِنْ شَفِيرِ جَهَنَّمَ، مِنْ سَبْعِينَ عَامًا، فَهَذَا حِينَ بَلَغَتْ قَعْرَهَا، فَأَحَبَّ اللهُ أَنْ يُسْمِعَكَ صَوْتَهَا، فَمَا رُئِيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ ضَاحِكًا مِلْءَ فِيهِ، حَتَّى قَبَضَهُ اللهُ

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ heard a sound that alarmed him. Gabriel ﷺ came to him, and the Messenger of God ﷺ said: "What is this sound, O Gabriel?" He replied: "This is a rock that fell from the edge of Hell seventy years ago, and this is the moment it reached its bottom. God wished to let you hear its sound." After that day, the Messenger of God ﷺ was never seen laughing to his full mouth until God took him.
