Chain of narrators
  1. Anas

✧ On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ: When he entered Makkah, Abdullah b. Rawahah walked in front of the Messenger of God ﷺ, saying: "Clear the way of the sons of the disbelievers from his path; today we strike you upon its interpretation, a strike that removes heads from their resting places and makes a friend forget his friend." Umar said, "O Ibn Rawahah, in front of the Messenger of God ﷺ and in the sanctuary of God, you recite poetry?" The Messenger of God ﷺ said, "Leave him, O Umar, for by the One in whose hand is my soul, this is harder on them than the falling of swords."

machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq was alone in narrating it from Maʿmar, from al-Zuhrī, from Anas. It is said that he erred in it (wahima), and that he heard this hadith from Jaʿfar b. Sulaymān al-Ḍubaʿī, from Thābit, from Anas, and that its chain was reversed for him (inqalaba ʿalayhi isnāduhu). It is preserved (maḥfūẓ) from the hadith of Jaʿfar b. Sulaymān, from Thābit, from Anas.
