حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ، نَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ الْكُوفِيُّ يُعْرَفُ: بِابْنِ الْمَيِّتَةِ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ الْمُلَائِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي الْجَحَّافِ، عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ جَاءَ إِلَى بَابِ عَلِيٍّ أَرْبَعِينَ صَبَاحًا بَعْدَمَا دَخَلَ عَلَى فَاطِمَةَ، فَقَالَ: السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ، الصَّلَاةَ رَحِمَكُمُ اللهُ، إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنْكُمُ الرِّجْسَ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيرًا

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ came to the door of Ali for forty mornings after he had entered upon Fatimah, and said: Peace be upon you, O people of the house, and the mercy of God and His blessings. The prayer, may God have mercy on you. God only desires to remove impurity from you, O people of the house, and to purify you thoroughly.
