✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ obtained spoils, he would command Bilal, who would call out to the people three times so that the people would bring their spoils, and then we would take one-fifth and divide it. Then a man came to him after that with a rope of hair, and said: O Messenger of Allah, this is from what we had taken as spoils. He said: Did you not hear Bilal call out three times? The man said: Yes. He said: What prevented you from bringing it? The man apologized to him, and he said: You will bring it on the Day of Resurrection, and I will never accept it from you.
