  • Dāraquṭnī

machine translationLikewise it was narrated from Abū Ḍamrah Anas b. ʿIyāḍ from Jaʿfar from his father from Jābir. There is disagreement about Abū Ḍamrah, for it was narrated from him as mursal.

    in المعجم الأوسط, p. 799
  • Dāraquṭnī

machine translationJaʿfar b. Muḥammad sometimes narrated this ḥadīth as mursal and sometimes connected it from Jābir, because a group of trustworthy (thiqāt) narrators memorized it from his father from Jābir. The ruling requires that the statement is theirs, because they added, and they are trustworthy, and the addition of a trustworthy narrator is accepted.
