✧ We went out with the Messenger of God ﷺ while we were performing ‘umrah. His companions exited ihram, but I had menstruated and did not become pure until I reached Makkah. Then ‘Arafah came and I still had not become pure. The Messenger of God ﷺ said: “Undo your hair, perform ghusl, then perform Hajj.” Then when it was the night of departure from Mina, he said to ‘Abd al-Rahman b. Abi Bakr: “Take her out of the Haram, then let her perform ‘umrah.”

machine translationSomeone else claimed that this is a mistake on the part of ʿUrwah, and that the correct version is the narration of al-Aswad, al-Qāsim and ʿAmrah from her, that she entered the state of iḥrām for Ḥajj alone (ifrād).
