machine translationThe narration of "fifteen" is anomalous (shādhdh) because it contradicts [the more reliable narrations].
in المعجم الأوسط, p. 7908 - Abū Zakariyyā Yaḥyá b. Sharaf al-Nawawī
machine translationAl-Nawawī declared it weak (ḍaʿīf) in al-Khulāṣah.
in المعجم الأوسط, p. 7908 - Ibn Ḥajar al-ʿAsqalānī
machine translationAl-Nawawī declared it weak (ḍaʿīf) in al-Khulāṣah, but that is not sound, because its narrators are trustworthy (thiqāt) and Ibn Isḥāq was not alone in transmitting it. Al-Nasāʾī reported it through the narration of ʿIrāk b. Mālik from ʿUbaydullāh in the same way, so it is authentic (ṣaḥīḥ).
