حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودٌ، نَا الْخَضِرُ، ثَنَا الْجَارُودُ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ هُبَيْرَةَ بْنِ يَرِيمَ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:
لَوْلَا أَنَّ الْكِلَابَ أُمَّةٌ مِنَ الْأُمَمِ لَأَمَرْتُ بِقَتْلِهَا، فَاقْتُلُوا مِنْهَا كُلَّ أَسْوَدَ بَهِيمٍ، وَمَنِ اقْتَنَى كَلْبًا لِغَيْرِ صَيْدٍ، وَلَا زَرْعٍ، وَلَا غَنَمٍ، أَوَى إِلَيْهِ كُلَّ لَيْلَةٍ قِيرَاطٌ مِنَ الْإِثْمِ مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ. وَإِذَا وَلَغَ الْكَلْبُ فِي إِنَاءِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلْيَغْسِلْهُ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ إِحْدَاهُنَّ بِالْبَطْحَاءِ
Translation

✧ Were it not that dogs are a community among the communities, I would have ordered their killing. So kill from them every jet-black one. And whoever keeps a dog for other than hunting, or crops, or sheep, a qirat of sin like Uhud returns to him every night. And when a dog laps in the vessel of any of you, let him wash it seven times, one of them with dust.
