✧ I walked with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to a woman of the Ansar, and she spread for him a palm-leaf mat and slaughtered a sheep for him. While we were thus, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'A man from the people of Paradise will surely come to you.' Then Abu Bakr al-Siddiq came. Then he said, 'A man from the people of Paradise will surely come to you.' Then Umar b. al-Khattab came. Then he said, 'A man from the people of Paradise will surely come to you. O Allah, if You will, make him Ali.' Then Ali b. Abi Talib came. Then food was brought to us and we ate. Then we arose and prayed Zuhr without performing ablution. Then we returned to the remainder of our food and ate, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not renew ablution, nor did any of us.
