✧ When the Prophet ﷺ was asked for something and he wanted to do it, he said, "Yes," and when he wanted not to do it, he remained silent. He never said "no" to anything. A bedouin came to him and asked him, and he remained silent. Then he asked him again, and he remained silent. Then he asked him again, and the Prophet ﷺ said to him in a rebuking manner: "Ask whatever you wish, O bedouin." We envied him and said: Now he will ask for Paradise. The bedouin said: I ask you for a mount. The Prophet ﷺ said to him: "That is yours." Then he said: "Ask." He said: I ask you for provisions. He said: "And that is yours." He said: We were amazed at that, so the Prophet ﷺ said: How far is the bedouin's request from the old woman of the Children of Israel. Then he said: "When Musa was commanded to cross the sea, and he reached it, the faces of the animals were struck, and they turned back. Musa said: What is the matter with me, O Lord? He said to him: You are at the grave of Yusuf, so carry his bones with you. The grave had become level with the ground, so Musa did not know where it was. They said: If any of you knows where it is, the old woman of the Children of Israel might know where it is. Musa ﷺ sent for her, and said: Do you know where the grave of Yusuf ﷺ is? She said: Yes. He said: Guide me to it. She said: No, by Allah, not until you give me what I ask. He said: That is yours. She said: I ask you that I be with you in the same degree in Paradise that you will be in. He said: Ask for Paradise. She said: No, by Allah, but to be with you. Musa kept arguing with her, and Allah, Blessed and Exalted, revealed to him: Give her that, for it will not diminish anything from you. So he gave it to her, and she guided him to the grave. He extracted the bones and crossed the sea."
