وَبِهِ: حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ، نَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ سَكَنِ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ أَبُو قَتَادَةَ الْحَنْظَلِيُّ، نَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبَّادٍ الْحَنْظَلِيُّ
أَنَّ وَفْدًا قَدِمُوا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، فَسَأَلَهُمْ فَكَذَبَهُ بَعْضُهُمْ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: لَوْلَا سَخَاءٌ فِيكَ وَمَقَكُمُ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ لَشَرَّدْتُ بِكَ وَافِدَ قَوْمٍ.
Translation

✧ That a delegation came to the Messenger of God ﷺ, and he questioned them, and some of them lied to him. The Messenger of God ﷺ said: Were it not for generosity in you and God's mercy upon you, I would have made you an example to delegations of your people.
